STUNNED MULLET FISHING COMPETITION
31 October - 2 November 2025 The Stunned Mullet is a legendary competition held annually at Zipolo Habu Resort in the Vona Vona Lagoon. This year's event was a great success with all proceeds going to support the Helena Goldie Hospital. Read about it here |
LEATHERBACK TURTLE NESTING
November to April Turtle nesting occurs throughout the year but intensifies between November and April, when it's virtually a daily occurrence on Tetepare and particularly at the remote beach of Baniata on Rendova Island. Read about a turtle encounter here |
ROVIANA LAGOON FESTIVAL
9 - 12 December 2025 A cultural festival of the people of Roviana Lagoon held in Munda. Villagers from throughout the lagoon compete for prizes in traditional sea and land-based activities, culminating in the Alec Wickham Swim. Read about 2024 Festival here |
