Gizo LodgeGizo Lodge is situated above Gizo town on Jah Mountain Road, a twenty-minute walk or short taxi ride from the market and wharf area. Set in tropical gardens, it has an outdoor deck area with views and cooling breezes.
The lodge is bright and airy, built on two levels, each with its own well-equipped communal kitchen, dining and lounge area. It offers a range of single, twin, double and family rooms, accommodating up to twenty guests at a time. Bathroom and laundry facilities are shared. Pinokoi HomestayPinokoi, in Paeloqe Village, is a family-run homestay and daytrip destination a half-hour’s drive from Gizo Town. Its beachfront location provides direct access to surfing and snorkelling, with surf boards, snorkelling gear and traditional dugout canoes available for guests' use.
Accommodation is offered in a rustic thatched house that has four raised beds with mats, pillows and linen. Shared facilities include a flush toilet and cold water shower, gravity-fed by a nearby stream. Hellen provides three meals a day for an all-inclusive price. While the area is a hotspot for surfing, many other activities are available including day trips to local islands, musical performances by the local bamboo band, village tours, weaving, dancing and visiting kastom sites. It's a real cultural immersion. |

Urilolo LodgeUrilolo Lodge is located in Saeraghi Village on the western end of Ghizo Island. The property has two comfortable, island-style bungalows with lovely views across the water to Vella La Vella and Ranongga Islands from the deck. Bathroom and kitchen facilities are shared. If you prefer to not self-cater, you can arrange to have meals locally prepared.
Saeraghi has one of the best beaches in the Western Province and Urilolo is positioned right on the edge of it. The crystal clear waters are safe for snorkelling and swimming, other activities include fishing, canoeing, picnics to nearby islands and diving a shipwreck site. Saeraghi Village welcomes visitors, offering many opportunities to experience Solomon Island cultural life, from local crafts and cooking on a motu, to traditional dancing and local entertainment. |
